Martijn Rigters is a Dutch designer and lecturer based in Suzhou.

After successfully graduating from the MA Design Products Course at the Royal College of Art London in 2016, Rigters has been working with international institutions like the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Crafts Council UK and M&C Saatchi; and has been collaborating with companies like Steelcase, Cappellini, Tre Product and Transnatural.

Due to the high level of hands-on prototyping and making, Rigters has been able to create and run a number of creative briefs and workshops with partners like Royal Academy of Art, Peroni and Open Creative School. In 2018 Rigters founded together with Namuun Zimmermann the contemporary design office Studio Sain, focussing on both conceptual product design, as well as socially engaged educational programs for diverse institutions.

The duo has been working with Vienna Design Week, Konzerthaus Vienna, Serpentine Galleries and others and has recently been selected to provide a large scale workshop program for Art Dubai.
