"My objects and sculptural furniture are abstractions of impressions collected while traveling and exploring my immediate surroundings. Nature and architecture are both equally inspiring to me. By selecting the appropriate woods and techniques, I recreate my discoveries and observations. My goal is to create objects that inhabit the space they are placed in."

"I was trained as a carpenter and have been working in my sculptural furniture workshop since 1993. My work has been shown at various galleries, exhibitions and trade fairs in Germany and abroad: Hanover, Niewegen, Bochum, Frankfurt, Amsterdam to name just a few. In 2017, I exhibited at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea, and in 2016 I presented my objects at the juried MKG Arts and Crafts Fair at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. My sculptural furniture piece The Sentinel was distinguished with the FORM# Award at Tendence 2015 in Frankfurt."
